Birthday Card for Dadda

Star is her favorite shape. In fact, that's the first shape she started recognizing and speaking too. So this is what we made to surprise Superstar Dadda on his birthday.

Kitchen Towel Pipe

My LO loves these pipes. She blows into it and makes different kinds of noise. So this time instead of throwing it away, we made little something out of it.

Cut half of the pipe vertically making about 1/4" of stripes. Draw a baby face on top. It looks like a baby with the skirt. It has been more than a month we made this and she still plays with it.

Make equal height cylinders, paint them with her favorite colors. Staple them together and write her name with glitter pen. That's how she learnt to recognize alphabets 'K' and 'A' by 19 months!

Fun with Boxes

My LO has always loved empty boxes of Pasta, Cereal etc. In fact, she loves them better than her toys. So instead of throwing it away, we wrapped it with a plain paper and then drew different shapes with crayons. And bingo! I never had to teach her the shapes again.

Similarly, when I wanted to teach her colors, we made circles of different colors on wither side of the box. And then we also had all the alphabets written all over the box.
